2. Principles

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website as well as our content and services. This website uses no tracking or marketing cookies, no third-party analytics services and loads no external fonts.

3. Server log files

When you access the website, our hosting provider automatically processes information transmitted by your browser (IP address, date and time, page accessed, referrer, browser and operating system). This processing serves to ensure secure operation and is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted after a short period unless security-relevant events require longer storage.

4. Contact and support form

If you contact us via the form, we process the information you provide (name, email and optionally company, telephone, message) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Local storage in the browser

For convenience features (e.g. the watch list in the product comparison), we store settings exclusively locally in your browser (Local Storage). This data is not transmitted to us.

6. External links

Links to social networks (LinkedIn, Facebook) are simple hyperlinks. Only when you click on them are you redirected to the respective provider's website, where its privacy policy applies.

6a. Audience measurement without cookies

To improve our website we collect anonymous usage statistics with a self-hosted solution without cookies and without third parties. We count the page viewed, referring page, device type, browser, time on page and clicks on downloads and forms. To distinguish visits, a non-reversible hash with a daily changing random value is generated from the IP address and browser identifier; the IP address itself is not stored, and the random value is deleted daily. No information is stored on or read from your device. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in designing the website according to need). If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, no data is collected.

6b. Whistleblowing system

Reports submitted via our whistleblowing system are processed to comply with the German Whistleblower Protection Act (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with the HinSchG). Anonymous reports are possible; IP addresses are not stored. Only the internal reporting office has access. Documentation is deleted three years after the procedure is closed.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, e.g. the Saxon Data Protection and Transparency Commissioner (Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte).
