Solution

Lighting control that thinks ahead.

Light only where people are – and only as bright as needed. Our sensors combine presence detection, daylight harvesting, schedules and scenes into a single system that saves up to 92% of lighting energy.

Lighting control that thinks ahead.

Benefits

Why sensor-based lighting control?

Up to 92% savings

Combining presence detection, daylight and schedules significantly cuts electricity costs and CO₂ emissions.

No control cabling

Bluetooth Mesh connects sensors and luminaires wirelessly – ideal for retrofits too.

Fast commissioning

Configuration via app – profiles and schedules set up in minutes rather than days.

Fail-safe

The intelligence sits in every luminaire: if one node fails, the rest keep working.

Measurable

Energy monitoring per zone makes savings transparent and verifiable.

Open

Integration with the building management system (BMS) via BACnet, Modbus or API.

How it works

Four strategies, one system.

Real savings come from the interplay of several control strategies:

  1. Presence control – lights switch off or dim as soon as an area is vacated.
  2. Daylight harvesting – luminaires near windows dim automatically.
  3. Task tuning – installed output is capped at the level actually required.
  4. Schedules – base lighting and switch-off follow operating hours.
Four strategies, one system.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

How much do sensors save – with and without an LED retrofit?

As a guide from our projects: switching from conventional lighting to LED with sensors reduces lighting electricity by up to 90 %. If LED is already installed, sensors alone typically save more than 60 %. Calculate your figures with the savings calculator.

What is the difference between a presence detector and a motion detector?

Motion detectors respond to larger movements and usually just switch lights on and off. Presence detectors also pick up fine movements – such as someone working at a desk – and usually add daylight-dependent control. Find out more in our guide.

How quickly does lighting control pay for itself?

That depends on operating hours, electricity price and your starting point. Use the savings calculator to estimate your payback period.

Does the control system also work with existing luminaires?

In many cases, yes: with the Bluetooth node FA102 and battery-powered sensors, existing dimmable luminaires can be retrofitted.
